A Family Business With A Commitment To Excellence

40NORTH Restaurant Group of Villa Enterprises Management is the newest venture of the Scotto family. The family opened their first full service restaurants, George and Martha’s, in 2006.
40North has been in the making since 1964, when the Scottos moved from Naples, Italy to New York City with the dream of creating a family business. That year, they opened Villa Pizza on West 53rd Street next to the Ed Sullivan Theater.
Over the ensuing decades, Scotto family members—parents, sons and daughters, aunts, uncles and cousins—have worked side by side to deliver an exceptional dining experience to guests.
Their hard work has paid off: Today, the Scottos own more than 300 restaurants, including the Black Horse Tavern and Pub and Piattino, which are in Mendham, NJ; and The Office Tavern & Grill and George & Martha’s American Grille in Morristown, NJ.
Why 40North? The name comes from Naples, Italy and Morristown, NJ—the location of the corporate office—which both lie on a 40-degree latitude.
Our motto is “made fresh daily.” We use the finest imported and local ingredients in innovative combinations to give traditional dishes a modern twist. “Our guests are like family, and it’s our job to exceed their expectations.” 40North’s esteemed staff works hard to make that happen.
