Healthy—And Delicious—Brown Bag Lunches

9-hour days…Constant meetings… Lunch hour is a beacon of hope that most of us look forward to every day.

While we would love to see you for lunch 5 days a week at any of our 40NORTH restaurants, we know that is not always feasible.

If you can’t stop in to the new OFFICE Tavern Grill to pick up our garlic bread burger or baby kale salad to go, why not BYOBB (Bring Your Own Brown Bag).

Try one of these simple—and quick—recipes inspired by our own restaurant favorites. They’ll satisfy your taste buds and do your body good too.

Taco Mason Jar Salad (Sedona Salad- The OFFICE Tavern Grill)

In a mason jar, layer 1 cup romaine lettuce, 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes, 1/2 cup black beans, 1/2 cup roasted corn, 1/2 cup diced grilled chicken, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1 tablespoon green scallion and 2 tablespoons fresh salsa. Yum! For the recipe click here.

Mashed Chickpea Salad Sandwich (Homemade Hummus from George & Martha’s)

This sandwich is so simple, yet it’s bursting with flavor—and undeniably healthy. It’s full of protein and fiber. Place leafy greens on bread, then add the chickpea salad, which is a combination of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), sliced celery, diced carrots, scallions, hummus, mustard, sea salt, garlic powder, lemon, pumpkin seeds and paprika. BLT Salad (The Black Horse Pub Signature BLT)

This American favorite is a combo of tomatoes, mayo, minced chives or scallion greens, white vinegar, garlic powder, bacon and romaine lettuce. You can even make your own croutons from whole-wheat bread.For the recipe click here.
